Disposal of Difficult Waste

Many companies involved in the disposal of waste are only interested in standard waste streams available in standard packaging, requiring only a basic transportation function. 

At TJ Environmental Services we pride ourselves in being able to provide cost effective solutions, meeting all legislative requirements for a wide range of unusual and non standard waste streams. 

We can handle small quantities of waste that larger companies are unable to assist with, at a competitive rate, and large quantities that require a high degree of lateral thinking and problem solving. 

Disposal of White Goods

For commercial customers TJ Environmental services can dispose of white goods including fridges, freezers, cookers, microwaves, washing machines, dishwashers, tumble dryers, chillers, display cabinets and associated cold room equipment. 

Some of this equipment will normally be classed as hazardous as the equipment can be contaminated with ozone depleting chemicals, refrigerants and / or oils. . 

We will arrange for all the required paperwork, collection, transportation and disposal of these waste streams in accordance with all relevant legislation

Most equipment is taken directly to a processing plant where it is dismantled, hazardous components separated and disposed as appropriate with the remaining material recycled.

Disposing of Waste - Duty of Care and Enviromental Impact

Under the 'Environmental Protection Act' all businesses and home owners have a 'Duty of Care' to dispose of their waste properly.

Your local council is now able to fine you if you have not verified that your waste has been passed to an authorised person. This can affect you if you have hired builders, gardeners or other trades who remove materials from your house or business. If these items are fly-tipped, you are liable.
